KEF Infra Park Launch

It wasn’t just another month, or just another day in office when the Gong rang and there my colleague announced we are doing the KEF Infra Park Launch in Krishnagiri, some of us really excited, while few extremely nervous as the given timeline to execute such a massive event was quite short. As a team, there were various obstacles on the way, the main one being the location of the event, holding an event in a village 90kms away from Bangalore was not going to be an easy task, but however we were well prepared and well planned for the next big 5 days of set up that were ahead of us. Dealing with suppliers in India requires a whole different type of skill and patience level altogether, this was something we learnt once we arrived at Krishnagiri, extremely apprehensive as to how will a barren land transform into something that we had designed sitting in the comfort of our office in Dubai, was definitely a question we all kept asking ourselves.

Projectors from Delhi, Tents from Kerala, Sound and light team from Dubai, Photographer and videographer from Mumbai, bringing together everyone, coordinating each and every element was a task in itself, with multiple cultural differences and differences in opinion we were well prepared to face the worst. But to our surprise, the extreme opposite happened, everyone so perfectly and seamlessly got together and helped us create an absolutely unique experience. The transformation was unbelievable, watching bits and bits of transformation take place each day was outstanding.

The big day was here! 19th December 2016, that morning while we were driving to the venue, with little sleep, loads of nervousness and excitement levels at its extreme, hoping and praying for an unforgettable show wherein all our hard work would actually pay off. We still remember that moment when the intro AV played with ceiling projections, LED screens on the stage, it felt magical, it felt unreal, at that moment watching it all come together just felt so pleasing to the eye. The happiness in our eyes post the event when everyone clapped and walked with big smiles and super proud emotions raging in is an unexplainable feeling. How we did we manage to put up 4 tents, with extensive branding in and around the tent as well the factory, coordinated various elements to put up a good show still amazes us, but this is the beauty of this industry, wherein every event is a new learning experience altogether, but  this event will definitely be the one, that we shall always remember and cherish for a very long time ahead.

The JBR National Day Experience

Arabic drummers with LED costumes and glowing drums, stilt walkers whose costumes were inspired by the UAE flag colors, the latest touch screen technology that allowed guests to display their Thank You notes for the UAE Martyrs, balloon releases, and glistening, golden human statues that displayed traditional Emirati trade! These were a few of the elements that made up the JBR National Day celebrations that were experienced by over ten thousand spectators and guests over three days at the JBR Walk!

Mosaic Live set up a traditional yet modern activation along the expanse of the JBR Walk that featured an Arabic calligraphy mural, displayed UAE traditional trade & entertainment and engaged guests in the latest futuristic technology! One of the activation’s were focused on the UAE Martyrs and it gave the crowd a chance to pay their respects and thank them. It was named “An Ode to the Martyrs” and it included touch screen tables where guests could design and compose their Thank You notes and send it off to the skies by sliding their notes towards the towering LED screen right beside it. The notes were then displayed on the massive LED that had customized graphics created to resemble the Dubai skyline.

String Art where guests could weave designs on a panel using string wool and collective art where the community colored in the flex to create one big art piece was also a crowd favorite! The children who visited were engrossed in the traditional arts and craft kid’s corner that had custom-made tiffany chairs dressed with red, black, white and green ribbons – to represent the UAE!

Mosaic Live believes that edutainment is always essential in any kid’s corner so one of the activities was a pearl diving themed craft where children were taught about the UAE’s pearl diving trade while they enjoyed creating their crafts. The story teller also amazed children by telling them stories that were derived from UAE history.

The golden human statues whose costumes were designed like the UAE’s boat makers, spice merchants and local residents also gathered a lot of attention from the crowd. A traditional falconry display, Ayallah dancers, carpet & basket weavers also amused the guests throughout the three-dayaffair.

Guests took home the experience with the help of the instant photo booth that produced branded photo prints for them, within seconds! Additionally, their names were drawn in Arabic calligraphy as souvenirs! This ensured that a balanced mixture of technology and tradition was brought home by each guest.

The JBR National Day experience engaged not only the community who resided in JBR, but also the guests who came to visit The Walk. It was definitely an experience that immersed the guests in the UAE National Day spirit through the use of futuristic technology, without shying too far from tradition!
